Don't think too hard about hitting spikes right away. Monster rounds first item. Head hunter + mystic burst rush in aggressive games. Trophy collector after lane phase.

Shiri's Support Graves (FULLY ANNOTATED NOW)

This is probably my favorite way to play graves right now. you aren't as much of a frontline with this build but, more of a spirit nuke ghost for your team. your goal is to not take as much damage and cause a lot of disrupt and sustain for team fights :>

That said,in my build theres a lot of notes on items for letting you know when to buy them, so i suggest you read the item notes and pick what you think is best for the situation.

FULLY ANNOTATED, spirit heavy, spam and flying like a fking creature. You are meant to be annoying, you should make them regret queing against you. This build optomises her hovering with Magic Carpet and Stamina mastery along some other great classic spirit items!

Hybrid Gun/Turret Susbtain Build

Main focus of the build is gun early game with turrets being built for late game whilst maintaining strength of the gun. General gameplay is to sit in a side lane and farm, taking any 1v1 due to strength of gun early - and rotate mid if a team fight happens you can potentially get TC stacks off. Late game you want to be on the edge of fights not initiating them. your goal is not make yourself the not focus of the fight but in just enough range to bait the team to going in. If MS is down - play less agro.
